- **Event Description**: Join us for the Saint John Youth Orchestra’s season finale concert on Thursday, June 5 at 7:30pm at Harbour View High School.

This year’s finale features an exciting and wide-ranging program, including Smetana’s sweeping The Moldau, Rossini’s sparkling Barber of Seville Overture, and the return of Waltzing Matilda, a favourite from our Spring Concert.

We are especially thrilled to feature SJYO student soloist Kingston Beckett performing the first movement of the Grøndahl Trombone Concerto — and he sounds amazing.

And, of course, no SJYO season finale would feel complete without what has become our program’s unofficial provincial anthem: Márquez’s Danzón No. 2.

More than anything, this concert is a celebration of what young people can achieve when they are challenged, supported, and given the opportunity to discover their own potential. These students have worked hard, grown tremendously, and continue to show us what is possible through music.

Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted at the door.
