Pianiste martiniquais incontournable, Mario Canonge s’impose depuis les années 80 comme une figure majeure du jazz caribéen. Après des débuts entre musique classique, influences latines et jazz-fusion (cofondateur du groupe Ultramarine), il revient au début des années 90 à ses racines antillaises, mêlant avec finesse biguine, mazurka, zouk et jazz. Avec son groupe Kann’, il développe une musique chaleureuse et métissée, reconnue bien au-delà des Antilles.
À ses côtés, deux musiciens d’exception :
🥁 Jean-Philippe Fanfant, batteur de référence au groove unique, a collaboré avec les plus grands noms de la scène internationale (de Sting à Angélique Kidjo). Figure incontournable des plateaux télévisés (The Voice, Nouvelle Star), il est aussi un passeur engagé, impliqué dans la transmission et la formation des jeunes talents.
🎸 Thierry Fanfant, bassiste virtuose autodidacte, affiche une carrière exceptionnelle avec plus de 1 700 enregistrements et des collaborations prestigieuses (Carlos Santana, Kassav’, Michel Sardou…). Musicien complet, il navigue avec aisance entre jazz, musiques du monde et variété internationale.
Ensemble, ces trois artistes forment Mario Canonge & Kann’, un trio d’une rare complicité, porté par une énergie communicative et une identité musicale profondément ancrée dans les rythmes caribéens, ouverte sur le monde.
