• Join us for HDR’s annual Memorial Day Murph at our 30-acre office as we come together to honor the fallen, challenge ourselves, and support our community.

WHY WE DO THIS

• This is not just a workout.
• It’s a reminder of what Memorial Day truly stands for.
• A day to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
• We remember those who gave everything so we can live the lives we live today.

WHAT IS “THE MURPH”

• In honor of Michael Murphy, who lost his life in Afghanistan in 2005

• The workout:
• 1 mile run
• 100 pull-ups
• 200 push-ups
• 300 squats
• 1 mile run

• Weighted vests are optional
• Scaled versions are available for all fitness levels

HOW IT WORKS

• This is YOU vs YOU, not a competition against others
• Common format:
• 10 rounds of: 10 pull-ups, 20 push-ups, 30 squats
• Or 20 rounds of half sets

• Modifications available:
• Walk instead of run
• Knee push-ups
• Assisted squats
• Ring rows or leaning pull-ups

• All ages and fitness levels are welcome

EVENT DETAILS

• Public event — everyone is welcome
• Come participate OR come support

AFTER THE WORKOUT

•  Top 3 times in each division qualify for prize drawings 1st-3 entries, 2nd-2 entries, 3rd-1 entry
• $300 cash prize per division (vested, non vested male, scaled down female)
•  Every finisher earns ticket entries into prize giveaways from local businesses.
•  Shingle Pull Test demonstration
•  National Anthem
•  BBQ + potluck lunch (brats, chips, beverages provided)

• Bring lawn chairs for you and your family

EXTRAS

• ? Custom Murph T-shirts for participants who register by May 6th and t shirt size submitted.
• ? Evening bonfire to wrap up the day
