Honoring Dr. King's Legacy
From Compassion to Action, Toward a Brighter Tomorrow

This year’s event theme is: The Fierce Urgency of Now. From his “I Have a Dream” speech and “Beyond Vietnam,” this theme calls for immediate action against injustice. “We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now.”

The Annual MLK Community Celebration features several days of events designed to bring people together in reflection and unity. We invite you to join us on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 8:00 AM for a complimentary breakfast, meaningful community conversation, Art, Essay & Humanitarian Awards, and an inspiring keynote from Dr. LaDonna Butler.
