Join us for our Annual Gathering of the Paddlers Dinner: Saturday, November 8 2025 at 6pm.

Please note the program and dinner will begin at 6pm, it’s encouraged to arrive between 5:30pm and 5:45pm to get your seat before the program kicks off.

The event kicks off with Wally Werderich and Mike Kies speaking about their May 2025 paddle of the entire Fox River, not only to set a record time but to raise money for Illinois Parks.

This year our featured speaker is Jim Tibensky. Jim has a lifelong love of volunteering and takes youth on therapy trips to the Everglades and the Coast of Maine and rescues injured aquatic birds from his kayak. He started canoe racing in 1966 before it was much of a sport in the US and has been on expeditions from the Mississippi River to the Grand Canyon and Greenland. Jim Tibensky will share some of those experiences and more in his well-titled talk and presentation “Things Jim Has Done in Canoes and Kayaks That You’re Sure to Find Interesting and as Much Fun as He Did”.

Dinner is buffet style and will include a vegetarian option. Please email antheahalpryn@gmail.com if you need additional accommodations for the meal.

$40 for IPC members, $50 for non-members.
