Our Defensive Shotgun I – Marksmanship and Equipment course offers dynamic home defense training to enhance personal protection and home defense capabilities. It is designed to build a shooter’s critical skills, tactics, and marksmanship to successfully defend themselves from home invasion and personal danger.Students will be able to explain and demonstrate the following:• Firearms safety, including issues specific to shotguns• Ammunition selection and patterning for optimum performance• Shotgun equipment overview and key accessories• Basic defensive shotgun marksmanship skills• Safe storage and rapid access mechanisms• Proper cleaning and maintenanceThis is an intermediate skills shotgun handling course. The NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting course or similar shotgun experience is a prerequisite. This is an 8-10 hr. skills development course, and can be repeated as often as needed to achieve and maintain optimum skills and performance.
