Fueled by a lifetime of grasping for control over her own body, due to chronic illness, and an innate tendency towards perfectionism that nearly destroyed her ability to create, Caitlin now chooses to let go of both when she walks into the studio.

However, it wasn’t always that simple. She had to retrain her approach to creativity entirely - forgetting the traditional methods she learned at an early age and letting go of a creative thought process that produced anxiety on the canvas.
