It’s Christmas time again and the UWI Arts Jazz Ensemble has decided to celebrate the season in its usual unconventional style. This semester, the UAJE pays tribute to a true Trinbago Christmas by playing some of our traditional parang classics. However, these timeless songs such as Rio Manzanare, Alegria, Aveo Maria and more, will be done with a touch of jazz flare as never done before. Come feel the high energy of parang with added jazz reharmonisation and improvisation to take things up a notch. The ensemble would also feature an original parang composition followed by some popular soca parang songs as part of the concert’s program. Let’s have a festive evening of Jazz Parang!
