- **Event Name**: October Poetry Open Mic - Ghost in You

- **Event Description**: Poets and poetry lovers are invited to celebrate all October things, with the local poetry community. Books by local authors will be given away as prizes in three categories: best literary costume, most creative, and biggest thrill.

The sign-up sheet will be available at 2:30 PM on the event day. At 3 PM, the facilitator will call to the podium the first 15 names on the sheet. Each presentation should be limited to five minutes maximum, to allow everyone time to share. The mic will be turned off a 4:30 PM to allow everyone time to network and socialize.

The theme is meant as a writing prompt and it is your choice if you want to follow the theme or not. Give us two or three of your polished poems or share fresh ink from your notebook. Invite a friend or two or three to cheer you on.

FLORIDA STATE POETS ASSSOCIATION (FSPA)
Ancient City Poets is the local chapter of the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). These gatherings qualify as the monthly chapter meeting. The monthly readings are open to all. You do not have to be a member to share at the podium. Ancient City Poets is a community of poets and poetry lovers who have gathered in the Nation’s Oldest City, on the last Sunday of the month, since August 2009.
