Music in the Chapel: Mill City String Quartet
Whether you are a lifelong fan of classical music or a new listener, we invite you to enjoy chamber music from the Mill City String Quartet in the intimate and beautiful Lakewood Memorial Chapel.
Heard on Minnesota Public Radio and seen at the Baroque Room, the Schubert Club, Antonello Hall and the Minnesota State Fair, among others, the Mill City String Quartet seeks to create exciting and diverse concerts for listeners both familiar and new to chamber music. In addition to their season of public concerts, they frequently work with students across Minnesota and have premiered several new or lesser-known chamber music works.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Seating is general admission. Doors open at 2 p.m. Arrive early and take a self-guided tour of the Lakewood Memorial Chapel before the concert.
The Lakewood Chapel — one of our city’s most beloved architectural treasures — is an intimate setting that seats about 160 people. Because of its incredible beauty and historical significance, it is a popular place for weddings, end-of-life services, music concerts, tours and other celebrations of beauty, art and remembrance.
