First order of business: come ready to donate your metal to Cans for Wishes! Our very own Ryan Hartle is an active leader with this fundraising group that recycles metal and donates that money to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Based out of Saegertown, PA, this group has collectively donated over $200,000 and sponsored over 40 wishes for area children with critical illnesses. Ryan will be headed directly to the April drop-off zone with your goods after the ruck! Anything metal is fair game! Please consider donating to this great cause!

This ruck will also feature will a fully loaded, full-size cooler packed to the brim with hydration—no empty space, all ice. Feel free to bring a drink or pack to add to the cooler but not required. This is a two-person carry at all times during the ruck, so be ready to rotate people in or move slower as a team. One cooler is required for every 8 participants, and if it’s not heavy, you’re doing it wrong. This one is all about teamwork, grit, and getting uncomfortable together—no shortcuts, just steady miles under weight.

Children and leashed pets are welcome.

Essentials to bring: Water, appropriate footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a positive attitude.

No ruck? No problem! Walkers are always welcome to join us with zero shame. Empty backpacks work too! We all carry different weights according to our personal fitness goals.
Rucking is a form of physical activity that involves walking with a loaded backpack (or ‘rucksack’) over various distances and terrains. (Plate carriers and sandbags are also welcome.) A moderate amount of added weight can produce the same stimulus and metabolic benefit as running, while also strengthening the legs and lower back. Rucking is similar to hiking and is often used as conditioning by backcountry hunters, endurance athletes, and those in the military and emergency services.
