The First Angry Man
We're screening the story of political outsider Howard Jarvis and the 1978 California property-tax revolt October 24. Officially known as Proposition 13, the initiative has remained popular with a broad swath of the electorate. An audience Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.
"The First Angry Man" is presented by the UC Davis Human Rights Film Festival. It is sponsored by the University of California, Davis Humanities Institute and the Human Rights Studies Program at UC Davis, in partnership with Human Rights Watch. Admission is FREE for members or with admission for nonmembers.
