- **Event Name**: *Special* Steelhead Creek Cleanup, 7/8/25

- **Event Description**: We will be continue our attack on trash and debris lining the bed of Steelhead Creek, both new and old, as we work upstream from the Arden-Garden bridge in the direction of the scores of illegal camps along the banks upstream of the West El Camino bridge.

We will meet on Acoma Street. At 9:00 am SHARP, we will caravan to the cleanup site. Late comers will not be accommodated. Folks that might need to leave early are welcome.

AGE LIMIT: This event is not suitable for minors under 14 years old. Minors 14 and older are invited, but must be supervised by a responsible adult during the entire event.

There will be plenty of hard-core badgering (digging out the big stuff), but also lots of easy detail work along the flat floodplain above the creek. We will provide bags, but please bring along your waders and/or sturdy, mud-resistant footwear, grabbers, buckets, and gloves - a limited number of loaner buckets and grabbers may be available. As there is water in the creek, participants will be required to wear rain boots or waders if they intend to get into the water. Entry into any waters is always optional.

As with all events shared on RCWA, participation is performed solely at your own risk. Please place safety FIRST and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Moreover, participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver form if they have not done so previously.
