Flaunt your fabulous faux fur at the annual December gala because this year we will all be "Howlin’ for the Holidays!"
The Bay Area’s beloved shack-shakin’ trio, HowellDevine, are on board to bring their hypnotic Hill Country and Delta blues to Harlow’s stage.
Triple threat talent, Joshua Howell (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and percussion savant, Pete Devine (drums, washboard), plus veteran upright bassist, Joe Kyle Jr. deftly mix rural blues with wildly syncopated rhythms to create a rollicking sound that stands in stark contrast to the typical blues heard these days. The band was the first blues act signed by Chris Strachwitz to his legendary Arhoolie Records label in over 25 years, a testament to HowellDevine's ability to breathe life back into the early blues with their stamp of propulsive, hypnotic rhythms.

The Sacramento Blues Society is ending another year in high fashion. (Remember your faux fur.) This annual celebration also rounds out the SBS' celebration of its 46th year in existence. The SBS, established in 1979, is one of the three oldest blues societies in the United States. A year-end electrifying finale to the year. Renew your membership, bring a friend to join.
