Each participant will receive enough supplies to make a seed bomb in the shape of a poppy, a bear, or even the State of California! Native plants will also be available for purchase.State Park interpreters will also be present to discuss the cultural signifigance of poppies in our state and their role supporting local ecosystems.Space is limited to 23 people per workshop. Recommended for ages 9 and older.Advanced registration is encouraged but not required. Only registered guests will receive activity supplies. Unregistered guests will have access depending on availability. This workshop is provided FREE to the public by our nonprofit partner, the California Indian Heritage Center Foundation (CIHCF). Grace Amico is the owner of Miridae Mobile Nursery and longtime supporter of special events at the SIM. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture at UC Davis, where she cultivated an admiration for California’s diverse native plants and landscapes.
