No DAPL Sacramento Dinner and a Movie
The No DAPL movement is far from over. The Black Snakes (oil pipelines) still threaten our beautiful Mother. It is time to reawaken the Water Protector in all of us.
Let's build our community, break bread, and watch Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock on Saturday, August 5th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Community Room at Southside Park Cohousing, 434 T Street, behind the 440 T St building.
This event is a fundraiser to help fund a future Advanced Nonviolent Direct Action Training to be held in August or September. Dinner will be Indio Viejo, an indigenous Nicaraguan meal made of corn and vegetables.
A suggested donation of $10 will be requested, however no one will be turned away for a lack of funds. Also, Maile Hampton will be selling her infamous Fry Bread!
There will be events before and after the movie showing. Stay tuned for more information!
