Bonnie and Jeannie Lim – Owners and operators of Redding’s historic Lim’s Cafe. Their family’s remarkable 107-year legacy in Chinese and American restaurants concluded with their retirement in 2022.
Their father, Peter Lim was a “paper son” who immigrated to America in 1924 but despite exclusionary laws became a cornerstone of the North State community. The Lim family’s enduring contributions continue to be celebrated, including the return of the Lim’s Cafe exhibit at the Redding Library in partnership with The Helen & Joe Chew Foundation.
