Born in Tibet in 1939, Rinpoche entered monastic life as a child and went on to receive extensive training in Buddhist philosophy, meditation, and tantric practice. He is widely known for his deep scholarship, humility, warmth, and clear guidance on the path of wisdom and compassion.

We are honored to welcome Rinpoche back to Lion's Roar for a teaching on the Heart Sutra — one of the most profound and beloved texts in the Buddhist tradition, and a cornerstone teaching on emptiness and wisdom. This is a rare opportunity to receive transmission and instruction from an elder master of the Gelug lineage.

A teacher khata offering will take place at the conclusion of the teaching. Donations for Rinpoche are gratefully accepted.
