Sac County Prairie Pedal

🚴‍♀️ Join us for the Sac County Prairie Pedal! 🚴‍♂️

May 9-10, 2025, Main Event May 10th

Help us raise funds for the further development of Sac County’s cycling trails, while promoting health, wellness, and fitness for everyone! Whether you're an experienced cyclist or just looking to enjoy the outdoors, this event is for YOU!

Date: May 9th – Registration, camping, and pre-event activities; 4pm-7pm

May 10th, 2024 -Registration, 7am-9:30am (corner of Main & State Street), Ride at 10am

Camping Sac City's Riverside Park will be ready to serve. Hookups (water, electric, dump station) available as well as primitive camping. There will be no charge for primitive camping, there will be a fee of $20 a night for RV camping.

Overflow camping may be available at the Sac County Fairgrounds.

If you intend on RV camping please call Sac City, City Hall at 712-662-7593 by May 2, 2025 so we can ensure you have a spot.

Registration/Sign-in: Chautauqua Pavillion, Chautauqua Park 301 Park Avenue, Sac City Iowa on May 9th. If coming on May 10th, registration will be on the Corner of Main & State Street near Place on State

Time: Ride starts at 10:00am, May 10th

Key Features & Highlights:

1. Support Local Trails
   Your participation helps us continue building beautiful, accessible cycling trails throughout Sac County. We're working to create even more scenic routes for cycling enthusiasts of all levels.
2. Cycling for All Levels
   Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or new to biking, we have a route for everyone! Choose from (insert 2-3 distance options: 10-mile, 25-mile, or 50-mile routes).
3. Fitness & Fun
   Get outdoors, get active, and make a difference! Cycling is a great way to stay fit while enjoying the beautiful landscape of Sac County.
4. Fundraiser for Future Development
   All funds raised will go directly toward enhancing and expanding Sac County’s cycling trails. The more participants, the faster we can develop and improve our trail systems.

Friday, May 9th

· 4:00-7:00: Registration open

· 5:00 – 7:00pm: Live music at the Chautauqua Pavillion

Beverages available: Freewill donation

· 5:00-??: Events downtown Sac City

Saturday, May 10th

• 8:00 AM: Check-In & Registration Opens (Corner of Main & State Street, Sac City)
• 8:00-10:00AM: Bloody Mary Bar at Place on State, 104 South State Street, Sac City
• 9:30 PM: Registration Closes
• 10:00 AM: Opening Remarks & Ride Start (5th & Main Street, Sac City)
• 9:30 AM-5:00PM: On-the-Trail Support Begins (snacks, hydration stations, SAG)
• 11:00AM: Services, Events, Activities open in Lake View
• 12:00PM: Services, Events, Activities open in Wall Lake
• 5:00 PM: Finish Line Celebration
• 5:30 PM: Prize Drawings & Thank-You
• 6:00 PM: Social event at Ernie’s
