Join us and welcome retired wildlife biologist Eric Orff as he discusses his book "What's Wild: A Half Century of Wisdom from the Woods and Rivers of New England."  He wrote extensively over his long career at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, where he was named the state's first bear biologist in the 1970s. 

His book features 50 "wild" stories he has accumulated over the years. While he's a bear expert, Eric’s career has spanned more than just bears -- he's got stories of rehabbing bats in a laundry room, accidentally riding a whitetail buck that didn't want to be tagged, dealing with snakes in a bathroom, the whole nine yards!  Eric's stories will make you laugh and help you connect with the nature all around us. So come enjoy his entertaining and inspiring stories, and learn more about the bears -- and other wildlife -- that live among us here in Rye. 

After the event, the book will be available for purchase and signing. (Signed books make great gifts!)
