2025 Spindale–Rutherfordton Christmas Parade

The Towns of Spindale and Rutherfordton are thrilled to announce the return of the annual Spindale–Rutherfordton Christmas Parade, now with a continuous route connecting both towns for one spectacular holiday celebration!
Due to ongoing road construction, the parade will travel seamlessly from Spindale to Rutherfordton, just like the R-S Central Homecoming Parade. Parade entries will remain in procession between towns without re-staging.
At the conclusion of the Christmas Parade on Saturday, everyone is invited to gather on the Rutherford County Courthouse Lawn for the annual Rutherfordton Tree Lighting Ceremony a community favorite that officially kicks off the holiday season! 🌟
Parade Lineup Information
Spindale Section
Line-up begins at 2:30 p.m. – All entries will report to the intersection of Elm and Pennsylvania St. A Spindale staff member will be present to direct all participants to their starting positions.
Parade begins at 4:00 p.m. from Main Street Baptist Church and travels west on Main Street toward Charlotte Road and Rutherfordton.
Walking participants should have a vehicle or float to continue between towns.
🚨The Town of Spindale will attempt to contact all participants ahead of time to advise them of their spot number. A list of entries and their spot numbers will also be posted on the Town of Spindale’s website in advance of the Parade.

Rutherfordton Section
Due to construction, lineup will occur on Charlotte Road between S. Cleghorn St. and N. Main St.
Rutherfordton-only entries will stage at Wells Fargo Bank.
Parade continues north along Main Street, turning right onto Green Street, left onto Purple Martin Place, and right onto Reece Street, disbanding at Second Baptist Church.

All entries must be decorated and contribute to the festive atmosphere.
Siren use is prohibited.
Candy must be handed out, not thrown.
Maintain safe spacing between entries.
Animal entries must include cleanup personnel.
