Deep in the heart of Austin, Texas, resides a band that defies convention and embraces the raw essence of hillbilly, punk, and mountain music. Meet the raucous trio known as “The Faux McCoys,” a group of musicians whose unconventional instruments and fearless spirit have carved out a unique niche in the city’s vibrant music scene. With a scratchin’ on the washboard, thumpin’ away on the washtub bass and a hammerin’ on the clawhammer banjo, their blend of aggressive music and irreverent charm leaves audiences enraptured as all get out! Fans are left much obliged to do the “Mountain Mosh” – a term their “Real MoFaux” fans use for their unbridled dancing at their shows.

Boozer and Woody are honored to be joined on Washtub by David Hamilton. DNA confirmed that he's our cousin so we welcome him to this hillbilly circus.
