- **Event Description**: Join us for this free event for the Young Poet Laureate FinalAbout this EventYoung Poets in Performance: the Young Poet Laureate Final at Rugby LibraryThe Young Poet Laureate Final is an exciting celebration of young creative talent, where the shortlisted candidates for Warwickshire’s Young Poet Laureate perform their poetry to a live audience at Rugby Library. After a day of workshops with professional poet and Coventry Poet Laureate 2021–23, Emilie Lauren Jones, and interviews with a judging panel, the finalists will share their work on stage. Audiences will also enjoy special performances from Emilie Lauren Jones and the current Young Poet Laureate, Naomi Mba, before the judges announce the Young Poet Laureate for 2026/27.This event is great for:- Supporting young local poets as they grow in confidence and creativity- Enjoying inspiring performances from emerging poets- Connecting with others who share a love of poetry and the arts- Discovering what our libraries offerThis event is part of our Warwickshire Young Poet Laureate scheme.
