The Dinosaur Express!

The dinosaurs, which roamed the earth over 66 million years ago, are back, and they’re coming back to the Spa Valley Railway in January 2026, and all children aged 0-15 years travel free of charge!

With the help of their rangers, you can get up close and interact with a selection of life-like dinosaurs from giant to tiny at Tunbridge Wells West on the train, as the dinosaurs mix with the steam and heritage diesel on board our 1960s carriages.

A variety of dinosaurs, large and small, will appear throughout the day between 10:30 and 16:30 for 20 minutes at a time, and a baby dinosaur will be roaming the train, too!

During the visits of the dinosaurs, our steam and heritage diesel trains follow our Green timetable. Did dinosaurs roam through the High Weald all those billions of years ago?
