- **Event Description**: Join us for a bat walk!About this EventJoin us for a guided walk around Foundry Wood with bat detectors where hopefully we'll see and hear some! We have previously recorded soprano pipistrelle and brown long eared bats in our bat boxes.We will meet at the entrance to the wood.The event takes place during sunset and nighttime. You are encouraged to bring torches and are welcome to bring your own bat detector (if you have one!). Appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn.Meet your guide, Si:Hi, I’m Si and I’ve been a conservation volunteer for the past sixteen years, mostly on nature reserves within Warwickshire. I am also a volunteer for The Bat Conservation Trust and have been monitoring and recording bats and their roosts for about twelve years. My main interest revolves around creating, maintaining and preserving habitats. I enjoy being able to give people a close up view of bats so they can see how amazing they are!There is free parking across the road from the woodland at Victoria Park carpark.
