On May 23rd, BIRD proudly presents Sly5thAve; Grammy-winning saxophonist, composer and a true architect of modern jazz, where hip-hop spirit meets soul and sophistication. His sound is sleek yet gritty, thoughtful yet full of groove. Imagine Roy Hargrove energy with Quincy Jones finesse and a touch of Brooklyn cool.

From touring with Alfa Mist and performing at SXSW to arranging for Questlove and the Dallas Symphony, Sly5thAve has done it all. He’s shared the stage with legends like Prince, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight, and famously reimagined Dr. Dre’s music with a 30-piece orchestra. It says everything: he moves effortlessly between worlds.

This performance celebrates his original work and signature reworks — deep grooves, top-tier musicianship and jazz with heart.
