On his guitar, he creates melodic waves that oscillate between Americana and country noir. Together with (double) bass player Madelief van Vlijmen, he will bring an intimate selection of his greatest hits. His 2017 solo album Songs from Dan was referred to as a masterpiece by OOR and his 2020 follow-up Letters of Gold gained a lot of international praise. For his 2023 album Country Star he invited the Song Crew, a group of young musicians (which includes Madelief van Vlijmen), to join him. As a result, his familiar dark sound obtained a more poppy and electronic edge. Currently he is working on his new album, which is set to be released in 2026.
