Bay of Plenty Regional Council Biosecurity Officer, Dale Williams, will cover the history of wallabies in New Zealand, their impacts, current control efforts, and whether eradication is within reach. Tim Day will share research aimed at closing knowledge gaps and improving the tools and techniques used to detect, monitor, and manage wallabies. Te Arawa Wallaby Kahui will speak to their experience with pest control, to ensure the ngahere thrives again. 

Whether you're interested in conservation, pest management, farming, forestry, or just curious about these unexpected Australian immigrants, this promises to be an interesting discussion.
