- **Event Description**: The Annual Lake City Cross Country Champs are being held at Ray Boord Park, Sunday the 7th of June. There are races for all ages and abilities, including a walking race.
This will take place on a 2km loop.

The start/finish area will be closer to the velodrome side of the sports fields due to football games that are also on the same day. Just look for the Lake City flag and gazebo, which will be set up at the start/finish area.

The event timetable is:
10.00am:
Boys/Girls under 16 (14,15 yrs) 4000 metres (2 laps)
Women under 18 (16,17 yrs) 4000 metres (2 laps
Men under 18 (16,17 yrs) 4000 metres (2 laps)
Women under 20 (18,19 yrs) 4000 metres (2 laps)
Master’s women (35 plus) 4000 metres (2 laps)
Master’s men (65 plus) 4000 metres (2 laps)
Walkers (all ages/grades) 4000 metres (2 laps)

10.30am:
Boys/Girls under 10 (5,6,7,8,9) 2000 meters (1 lap)
Boys/Girls under 12 (10,11 yrs) 2000 metres (1 lap)
Boys/Girls under 14 (12,13 yrs) 2000 metres (1 lap)

11.00am:
Men under 20 (18,19 yrs) 6000 metres (3 laps)
Master’s men (35-64 yrs) 6000 metres (3 laps)
Senior women (20-34 yrs) 6000 metres (3 laps)
Senior men (20-34 yrs) 8000 metres (4 laps)
Ages are as at 31/12/2026 except for Master grades, which is age on the day.

Notes
1. Each race time represents a group of races. Entrants will be separated in the results to establish grade and grade placing. Master athletes into their 5 years grades. i.e., 35 to 39 years, 40-44 years etc
2. Members are only eligible to win championship places in their own grades, and must be a paid-up financial member prior to the event of the Lake City Athletic Club Inc.
3. The wearing of your club uniform will be appreciated.
4. The area we are using is available to the public. There is also a river nearby. Children to be supervised by their caregivers(s) – thank you.
