Internationally acclaimed DJs Thomas Rose and Ethan James will perform together for the first time in Aotearoa (Rotorua) with Aronui Presents: Vol.9 Matariki Mixtape, a specially curated sunset-to-nightfall performance that blends soulful R&B, Polynesian rhythms, low-fi textures and reflective soundscapes in honour of the contemplative spirit of Matariki.

Taking place as part of the Aronui Matariki Drone Festival on Saturday July 11 at the Terrace Kitchen, Vol. 9 offers an alternative to the high-energy dancefloor experience often associated with electronic music. 

Instead, audiences can expect a carefully crafted musical journey designed to encourage reflection, remembrance and connection.
