Adoption Day at the Library

Get ready for an exciting day! On Saturday, 15 November, join the Rotorua Lakes Council's Animal Control team at the Rotorua Library for our very first Adoption Day at the library! Yes, that's right—you can adopt a dog right there in the library!

Did you know that our dedicated Animal Control team impounds around 2,000 dogs every year? These adorable pups come into our care for a variety of reasons—some are strays looking for a loving home, others are seized for safety, and many are surrendered by their owners. While we do our best to reunite dogs with their families, many sweet dogs are still waiting for their forever homes.

This is your chance to make a difference! Come along, meet our charming puppies and dogs, and who knows—you might just find your new best friend to bring home! Don’t miss this heartwarming opportunity to bring joy to your family and give a loving dog a second chance.
