I’d love to invite you to my Winter Solstice Yin Yoga & Sound Bath, just before Christmas. It can also be a thoughtful gift for someone who could use a bit of space to breathe and reset.
❄️The Winter Solstice has always been an important moment for me — a time to notice the shift in the season, welcome a little more light, and settle into the weeks ahead.
We’ll begin with Yin Yoga, focusing on the Kidney and Bladder meridians, which relate to winter energy in Chinese medicine.
These meridians relate to our energy reserves, grounding, and our ability to cope with the colder, darker months.
Yin poses held for longer gently support these pathways, helping to release tension along the spine, hips, hamstrings and the sides of the body — areas that often tighten as the season shifts. It’s a simple, steady way to nourish the body’s winter energy.
After Yin, we’ll move into a sound bath with gongs, crystal bowls and Himalayan bowls — a long, gentle experience to help the body unwind.
I’ll also be making chocolate cupcakes, and I’ll have warm chai and herbal teas for you at the end.

About Karolina Surya Yoga Sound:
Karolina is a yoga teacher, breathwork and sound therapist with a background in social and cultural development. She is passionate about creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and each other through movement, sound, and stillness.
Her journey with yoga began in Poland and deepened through studies in India, where she trained in Traditional Yoga, Nada Yoga (the yoga of sound), Pregnancy Yoga, and Women’s Wellness at Yoga Vidya Gurukul. She later expanded her training in the UK, studying Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Sound Healing.
With 10 years of teaching experience and more than 600 hours of certified training, Karolina leads group sessions, retreats, and private one-to-one work across the UK.
Entering motherhood in her early forties brought a renewed connection to the foundations of yoga — especially its more reflective, nurturing aspects. This shift has deepened her commitment to offering accessible and supportive practices that meet people where they are.
She also co-founded Surya Rhythm Festival and Ecstatic Dance Leicester — community-based projects that reflect her love for nature, connection, and the transformative art of sound and movement.
