SUMMER ROWING CAMPS with Atlanta Juniors rowing club

Warm temperatures and no school make summer a great time to row.

Atlanta Junior Rowing Association (AJRA) offers summer camps for middle and high school students at various levels, from Learn-to-Row Camps for brand new rowers, Returning Rower camps for those with a basic foundation of rowing, as well as Technical and Racing Camps for returning high school rowers. Camps provide a great way for youth to learn or develop rowing skills, within the structure of summer camp fun.

PREREQUISITES: NONE! No experience needed

Camps are co-ed for middle and high school students. Campers are grouped each session by age, size, and skill level. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear and bring a water bottle.

Session 1: June 2 – June 6

Session 2: June 9 – June 13

Session 3: June 16 – June 20 (High Schoolers Only)

Session 4: July 7 – July 11

Session 5: July 14 – July 18

Session 6: July 21 – July 25

Session 7: July 28 – August 1

During each camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of rowing. Additionally, each camper learns about the sport, equipment, terminology, and safety of moving boats on and off the water. We begin a basic workout program, and everyone has a chance to get out on the Chattahoochee River.
