You’re invited to the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Riverside Park Renovation, a major investment made possible through the 2022 voter-approved Recreation & Parks Bond.
This project advances the City’s River Parks Master Plan and enhances access, connectivity, and amenities along the Chattahoochee River. Planned improvements include ADA-accessible restrooms, a new open-air pavilion, upgraded stage lighting and sound, dedicated green room space for performers, a nature-inspired playground, an open free-to-use sprayground, and infrastructure upgrades throughout the park.
Tree Removal & Replanting Update:
As part of grading and stormwater improvements, trees within the project footprint will be removed to support long-term park enhancements.

• Specimen Trees Removed: 14
• Trees to Be Replanted: 307
New native and canopy trees will be planted to enhance shade, strengthen the landscape, and support long-term environmental health. Protecting and enhancing the natural environment remains a priority for the City.
The Riverside Sounds concert series is on hold during construction. The park is expected to reopen in Summer 2027.
