On this night, we gather in the heart of Sinclair Atlanta to honor the closing breath of 2025 and welcome the first pulse of 2026 — feet on the earth, hearts open, bodies awake. This is the last dance of the year, and the first dance of what comes next.

New Year’s Eve at Sol Dance is a ritual. A slow unfurling. A moment to release what’s behind us, name what we’re stepping into, and meet the turning of time with intention, movement, and community. We return this year with THRESHOLD, the name that has always captured what this night truly is:
a doorway, a crossing, a choosing.

We open the evening with a Cacao Ceremony led by Christina Della Iacono, inviting the room into warmth, connection, and collective presence. Cacao has long been used as a heart-opening ritual, softening the inner landscape so that what moves through the body becomes clean, honest, and aligned.

From there, we drop into the dance:

Ralo makes his Sol Dance debut, curating a potent 1.5-hour ecstatic wave — a deep, textured, electrically alive journey to prepare the field for the year’s final release.

As midnight approaches, Maya Lemberg, Serpentene, and Riya Rose will guide our countdown ritual, weaving intention, breath, and collective focus as we cross into 2026 together. Expect a grounded moment, an embodied marking of the turning point — a shared breath to honor both the letting go and the becoming.

Immediately after the ritual, we ignite the room with a live drum-circle dance interlude led by Marco Molina, lifting the energy from inward reverence into communal celebration.

Finally, Scott Houston carries us into the first dance of the new year with an extended Ecstatic Dance DJ set — expansive, deep, joy-forward, and designed to set the tone for the season ahead. The night will close with a soft landing by Rare Bird Flutes, integrating the journey and welcoming the new cycle with clarity.

It will be located in the main corridor entrance to the dance space, after you have parked your vehicle and entered the venue. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance at soldancemovement.com to reduce registration time at the event. Thank you!

We offer a substance-free space—no drugs or alcohol are allowed at Sol Dance. We invite you to experience the natural high of movement, breath, music, and genuine connection.

Practice Consent
Consent is a cornerstone of our community. Always ask for permission before involving others in your dance or taking photos/videos. We teach a simple gesture during the Opening Circle (hands in prayer at heart) as a universal signal to opt out of connection.

Be Present
To maintain the integrity of the dance space, we kindly request that you keep your phones out of the dance floor area. You’re welcome to take consensual photos or videos outside of the dance space. Let’s keep the floor sacred—just you, the music, and the moment.

Honor the Non-Verbal Space
Once the music begins, we invite you to let go of verbal communication. Instead, connect through movement, breath, and energy. This helps cultivate a deeper presence and respect for the shared space.
