CAS at Fernald: Meteors! The Perseids Are Here!

Join us at Fernald Preserve August 8th where we will be celebrating meteors! We are in the midst of the Perseid meteor shower and August 8th is just a few days prior to the peak of the Perseids. We’ll be talking about meteors at 8PM, and weather permitting spending some time looking through CAS members’ telescopes and watching for meteors.

As a bonus, local astronomy historian John Ventre will be bringing his meteor collection for guests to peruse and ask questions.

As an extra bonus, CAS will also be at Fernald the night of the peak Perseids, August 12th for some meteor hunting. See our separate event listing for details about the 12th.
