Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Placer SPCA!  Attending the Volunteer Orientation is the first step toward helping companion animals find their forever homes.  We accept adult volunteers (18+) and Jr. Volunteer Teams (one parent/legal guardian PLUS a teen: ages 13 to 17).  Teens MUST be accompanied by their own parent or legal guardian at all times. If you are a Jr. Team and would like to register with more than one teen, please contact dm9sdW50ZWVyIHwgcGxhY2Vyc3BjYSAhIG9yZyAhIFRoZQ== volunteer commitment is a minimum of 6 months with a required 4 hours per month of volunteer time. RSVPs are required to attend the orientation. We do not accept drop-in attendees to these sessions. See you soon!***Please note: We are experiencing a high volume of new volunteers attending our animal training classes post volunteer orientation. However, we highly welcome new volunteers to register for orientation and assist with other non-animal related tasks while waiting for specific animal training. The current wait time for animal training classes can be anywhere from 2-3 months. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to you joining our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers!***
