Baseball friends and fans will  once again gather at the St. Paul Baseball Old Timers' Hot Stove League banquet --About this EventBaseball friends and fans of all ages will gather at the wildly popular St. Paul Baseball Old Timers' Hot Stove League fundraising banquet -- to celebrate the great game of baseball, as well as relationships to which the game has led. (Proceeds from the banquet benefit local youth baseball and other charitable organizations, such as Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul.)As part of the Minnesota Twins' Winter Caravan, the Old Timers' Banquet is truly "Where Old Friends Meet!" Big league stars of today, yesterday and tomorrow will be present, as well as sports celebrities of the Twin Cities ...The head table will, once again, be loaded with notable speakers and guests. Being emceed by Sean Aronson (St. Paul Saints Play-by-Play Voice and Vice President, Director of Broadcasting &amp; Media Relations), anticipated head-table guests / speakers include Derek Shelton (current Twins Manager), Derek Falvey (current Twins President of Business &amp; Baseball Operations), Derek Sharrer (Executive VP &amp; General Manager, St. Paul Saints &amp; Twins AAA Affiliate), Jerry Bell (Retired President and member of the Twins HOF), and Jim Rantz (retired Director of Minor Leagues and Twins HOF member) -- along with Tim Tschida (St. Paul native and retired Major League Baseball Umpire), Ty McDevitt (current Head Coach of the MN Golden Gophers), and John Anderson (retired MN Golden Gophers Head Coach). Old Timers Member, Fr. Dan Haugan (Pastor of Lumen Christi Catholic Community in St. Paul), will deliver the pre-dinner invocation.This year's honored Older Timer, Dave Anderson, will also receive special posthumous recognition.
