Rosendale Theater Screening of BIRTHRIGHT: A WAR STORY Wednesday, January 24th.
The feature film, BIRTHRIGHT: A WAR STORY, will screen on Wednesday, January 24th at the Rosendale Theatre as a celebration and remembrance of the 45th Anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision on Roe v. Wade. We invite you to participate in a one-night special event screening of BIRTHRIGHT: A WAR STORY.
A fast-growing radical movement is leading an aggressive campaign to take control of
women’s reproductive health care and to encourage states, courts and religious doctrine to govern whether, when and how women will bear children. BIRTHRIGHT: A WAR STORY examines how the anti-choice movement gained prominence and continues its work to roll back access to abortion for women in the United States.
At a time when THE HANDMAID'S TALE is topping charts and abortion rights are under threat in this country, this film puts forward a compelling story of the fight against the rise of the right and the consequences of their policies. Women are being jailed, physically violated and even put at risk of dying as this extremist movement tightens its grip across America, turning women into criminals and challenging constitutional protections.
BIRTHRIGHT: A WAR STORY is a startling look at forces putting personal choice at risk. The director, a journalist and former CNN executive, has forged deep connections to the groups that are fighting to keep the right to choose. Many nationwide organizations, some of which are noted below, are standing behind this film and have pledged strong online and offline support and partnership for the release.
