This Clean Up Australia Day, we’re inviting everyone in Palmerston to come together and clean up our beautiful part of the world. Bring your friends, families, and neighbours, roll up your sleeves and help care for our local parks, streets and shared spaces.
📍Find us at Dawun Dirra Park and head to Mitchell Creek, Palmerston’s natural drainage waterway. Volunteers will sign in at the meeting point and are then welcome to collect litter from any part of the Mitchell Creek area and are not limited to staying at the central location.
☕Volunteers can enjoy a complimentary BBQ breakfast and coffee when they hand in a bag of collected rubbish.
🚛 Cleanaway – One of Cleanaway’s large waste-collection trucks will be onsite for everyone to see. Take a closer look and meet the crew who help care for Palmerston every day.
☘️ Landcare NT – Swing by their interactive stall to discover the projects they’re running to protect and restore our environment. Learn how plants, wildlife and community programs come together to care for our surroundings.
👷♂️ Council Rangers – Come meet our friendly rangers and chat about all things Palmerston.
