Located in the Large Community Room

In partnership with the Southern Kern Unified School District, the Rosamond Branch Library is offering FREE lunches for kids ages 2-18 in June and July, beginning on Tuesday, June 9th until Friday, July 31st.  

Lunch will be held at the library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be different activities and a coloring table available during lunch each day. Due to the terms of the grant that funds the Lunch at the Library program, all lunches must be eaten on site at the library- lunches cannot be taken to go.

There will be no lunch on Friday, June 19th (Juneteenth) and Friday, July 3rd (county holiday in observance of Independence Day).

The following programs will be held during lunch on the indicated days, except on days with special events that begin during lunch:

Tuesdays: Lunchtime Gaming 
Have fun playing a variety of board games and card games while enjoying lunch.

Wednesdays: Mid-Week Movie 
Enjoy a free movie while having Lunch at the Library! 

Thursdays: Crafternoon 
Participate in a fun craft while having Lunch at the Library! All supplies will be provided. 

Fridays: Little Seedlings 
Join us for Little Seedlings, a fun and interactive program where kids and teens will plant, learn, and watch things grow! During this hands-on gardening program, participants will plant a different seed each week using soil and small pots to take home. Come get your hands dirty, discover how plants grow, and learn simple tips for caring for your plants all summer long!
