- **Event Description**: Our Working Equitation Training Competition will focus on two phases - the ‘Ease of Handling’ and speed phases. These phases require the horse and rider to negotiate a series of obstacles, such as a gate, bridge, slalom poles, figure of 8 barrels, small jump etc. The Ease of Handling round focuses on the correct approach to, completion of and departure from each of the obstacles. The speed round, as the name suggests, is based on speed, with time penalties given for non-completion of any obstacles.

Each rider will be allocated a 20 minute time slot during which they can have a coaching / practice session with the course of obstacles. before riding their two rounds.

The training competition will be a PYO, with riders able to select the level they wish to ride at, i.e. Walk & trot / Novice / Inter B. Entries may be split depending on numbers.

Our trainer and judge for the competition will be Sharlotte Hughes from Saddle Up Coaching, who is an ABWE approved instructor.

Entry Fee: £25.00 for current Chilworth RC members and £27.50 for non-members. 

Rosettes to 6th Place. Photographer in attendance. 

Competitor numbers will be limited. Entries will close one week before the competition.
