Eckberg, as the “proud son of a World War II frontlines combat veteran" draws upon his own years of research, interviews with World War II veterans, and visits to Normandy, France and the D-Day beaches to bring a program that will educate, inspire, and encourage all listeners.

About Ron Eckberg: He is currently writing a book of “essays, observations, and stories” of World War II and is the host of the Ordinary Heroes Podcast. He is a regular presenter at libraries, historical societies and other venues throughout northern Illinois. He and his wife, Judy, are both natives of Walnut, Illinois.
