WINTER SEVERITY INDEX (post-punk set / original line-up)

WSI è un progetto cold wave/post punk di Simona Ferrucci, cantante, polistrumentista e arrangiatrice.
La musica di Winter Severity Index è caratterizzata da un insieme originale di differenti influenze, dalla new wave più tradizionale degli anni Ottanta, allo shoegaze degli anni Novanta, più accenti trip hop/ elettronici/kraut nelle ultime produzioni. Durante gli anni il suono si è evoluto ed arricchito di molteplici cifre stilistiche, pur mantenendo un mood oscuro e la presenza costante dell'espressiva voce contralto di Simona.
Il progetto nasce nel 2009 e conosce più fasi, con l'avvicendamento di diverse line up nel corso degli anni.
La più lunga e significativa è quella che ha visto la collaborazione di Simona con Alessandra Romeo ai synth, dal 2012 al 2024, con la quale ha realizzato tre LP ( Slanting Ray, Human Taxonomy e Disgelo).
Dalla sua fondazione Winter Severity Index si è esibito in centinaia di venue e festival internazionali in Europa e Stati Uniti, partecipando anche a rassegne prestigiose come il Wave Gothic Treffen di Lipsia e il Substance Festival di Los Angeles. Ha in oltre preso parte a importanti show radiofonici per Radio Rai e Radio 3 in Spagna.

Al momento WSI celebra i quindici anni dalla prima esibizione con una eccezionale reunion della prima formazione, con Simona alla voce e chitarra, Diana Salzo al basso, Valentina Fanigliulo al synth e Valeria Tirabassi alla batteria, un ritorno alle sonorità post punk che hanno caratterizzato gli esordi del progetto, in attesa della prossima reissue in vinile del primo omonimo EP del 2010.

MINATOV (raw post-punk / bat-cave prod.)

Minatov è un progetto atipico, probabilmente unico, nato dall’incontro tra Olgierd e Kruper nel cuore pulsante di Roma Est (Pigneto).
Una band italo-polacca dalle forti influenze Ost Europee, la scelta del cantato in madrelingua (polacco) si rivela subito vincente, le tematiche sono forti, l’aspetto lirico crea suggestioni esotiche.
La band è una bomba post-punk, sound grezzo, primitivo, volutamente retrò, con atmosfere indie-wave, l’approccio è noise, l’attitudine è industriale.
Tutti questi elementi rendono i Minatov una proposta assolutamente originale.

MINATOV powstał w wyniku spotkania Olgierda i Krupera, w bijącym sercu wschodniego Rzymu Pigneto. Włosko-polski zespół z silnymi wpływami wschodnioeuropejskimi. Testy pisane w języku ojczystym (polskim) Olgierda, mroczna tematyka, aspekt liryczny stwarza egzotyczne sugestie. Zespół to post-punkowa bomba, surowe, prymitywne brzmienie, celowo retro, z klimatami indie-wave, noise rock, industrialnym pomrukiem.
Wszystkie te elementy sprawiają, że MINATOV jest propozycją absolutnie oryginalną.
