Friends and family, please join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Paul Temple—a beloved physician who dedicated his life to caring for women, delivering babies, and serving our Rome community.

? Date: Friday, December 13, 2025 (Dr. Temple’s Birthday)
? Time: Meet at 6:00 PM
? Start Point: Rome City Hall – 198 N Washington St, Rome, NY
? End Point: Vogel Park – Photo at bench location.  The bench will be revealed at next year’s walk, as it is currently being made! 
?‍♀️ Distance: About 3 miles (walk at your own pace)

This special evening will feature revealing the bench location  at Vogel Park, honoring Dr. Temple’s compassion and legacy. The bench being made will serve as a place of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for years to come.

? Festive Theme: We encourage everyone to wear light-up or holiday-inspired attire! Together we’ll enjoy the city’s holiday lights and light up the path in Dr. Temple’s honor.

? How You Can Help:
We are raising $3,000 to cover the memorial bench and contribute to the Paul Temple Scholarship Fund, ensuring his mission continues. Donations of any size are deeply appreciated.

✍️Donations to the scholarship fund may be made anytime including the day of the event. 

? Donate: Checks or payments made to The City of Rome will be put toward the bench.  Checks or payments made to the Rome Community Foundation will be put toward the scholarship fund in his memory. (Please indicate Paul Temple Scholarship Fund on memo line.)

This walk is more than an event—it’s a chance to come together as a community, celebrate a life well-lived, and carry forward Dr. Temple’s legacy of kindness and care.
