# Event Details - **Event Name**: Level 2 Makaton Workshop - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 06 Sep, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sun, 06 Sep, 2026 at 04:00 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: Level 2 training provides extended vocabulary and builds on the knowledge gained in level 1( prerequisite). 6th Sept 26, 10-4pm.About this EventLevel 2 training builds on the vocabulary learnt in level 1and is recommended for:Anyone wishing to complete a 'foundation' understanding of Makaton, this includes parents, family members, carers and workers who use Makaton at home and in their work environment.Learners are required to have completed their Level 1Makaton workshop as a prerequisite to level 2.Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to impiment use of Makaton in day to day settings. Learners will recap the vocabulary learnt in level 1.You will also learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4, and some of the Additional stage, of the Core Vocabulary.DurationLevel 2 training is made up of two modules delivered as 1 full day session, 6th September 2026, 10-4pm. Learners must be able the full day.Entry criteriaParticipants must have an interest in early communication skills and have completed Level 1 Makaton.Study materialsYou will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please remember to bring your Level 1 training certificate.In the event a participant cannot attend, a course tranfer will be offered onto the next available course.TransfersIn the event you book and are unable to attend you will be offered a transfer onto another like for like workshop at no charge within 6 month of the original date booked. Max of 1 transfer.
