Without risk, art cannot innovate; it cannot develop, and the artist cannot realise their full potential.
Our Voice Bursary recipients Shakeera Ahmun and Jadyn Bagayas are looking forward to offering you a glimpse into their choreographic processes. Over the past six months both Shakeera and Jadyn have spent time exploring and developing their choreographic practice, and with the support of Ballet Cymru Pre-professional dancers they will share examples of some of the things they’re exploring in their practice.
Following the sharing and after the sunset, join us for a chat over a meal and a cuppa.
Whether you’re a lover of dance, or just curious about the arts in general, Our Voice 2026 is for you!
We can’t wait to see you there!

Heb risg, ni all celfyddyd arloesi; ni all ddatblygu, ac ni all yr artist wireddu eu llawn botensial.
Mae derbynwyr Bwrsari Ein Llais, sef Shakeera Ahmun a Jadyn Bagayas, yn edrych ymlaen at roi cipolwg i chi ar eu prosesau coreograffig. Dros y chwe mis diwethaf, mae Shakeera a Jadyn wedi treulio amser yn archwilio a datblygu eu hymarfer coreograffig, a gyda chefnogaeth dawnswyr Cyn-broffesiynol Ballet Cymru byddant yn rhannu enghreifftiau o rai o’r elfennau maent yn eu harchwilio yn eu hymarfer.
Yn dilyn y rhannu, ac ar ôl machlud yr haul, dewch i ymuno â ni dros bryd o fwyd a dishgled.
P’un ai a ydych chi wrth eich bodd gyda dawns, neu dim ond yn chwilfrydig am y celfyddydau’n gyffredinol, mae Ein Llais 2026 yn addas i chi!
Ry’n ni’n edrych ’mlaen yn eiddgar at eich gweld chi yno!
Shakeera Ahmun is a dance artist and choreographer with a passion for storytelling through movement and performance. She enjoys exploring movement that comes from the felt self, unfiltered and honesty, and how that can be shown through dance and movement as a medium for connection and healing.
Influenced by her current exploration of the Invisible Load, Shakeera’s duet work for the Our Voice Sharing will explore the weight of things that we carry, often without anyone noticing, and how we might bond through these shared experiences together.

Mae Shakeera Ahmun yn artist dawns a choreograffydd sy’n angerddol dros adrodd straeon drwy symudiadau a pherfformiad. Mae hi’n mwynhau archwilio sut mae symudiadau’n dod o’r hunan ac o onestrwydd, a sut y gellir dangos hynny drwy wahanol themâu a gofodau perfformio.
Dan ddylanwad ei gwaith cyfredol ar The Invisible Load, bydd gwaith deuawd Shakeera ar gyfer Rhannu Ein Llais yn archwilio pwysau’r pethau ry’n ni’n eu cario, yn aml heb i neb sylwi, a sut y gallem ddod at ein gilydd drwy gyfrwng y profiadau rydym yn eu rhannu.

Jadyn Arriola Bagayas is a Filipina dancer and creative from New Zealand. She trained in New York with Ballet Academy East and has danced with Ballet Rhode Island. She is now training with Ballet Cymru 2. Passionate about choreography, Jadyn aims to create inspiring and meaningful work that shares stories of human emotion, connection, and heritage.
Jadyn will be sharing examples of work in different stages. Firstly, showcasing the beginning stages of a piece, she will be exploring how the pathways and patterns of Filipino folk dance can be used to create contemporary duet phrases between dancers. Secondly, she will be sharing an excerpt from “In the Making …”, a piece debuting at the Ballet Cymru 2 Made in Wales performance, showcasing how she uses music as a prominent tool to inspire movement.
