Full Moon Hike

Join us for a magical guided hike under the full moon at the beautiful Shaddox Hollow Trail. This evening adventure is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the woods after dark—no prior hiking experience required.

About the Hike
• Distance: Approximately 1.5 miles (loop)
• Elevation gain: About 240 feet
• Estimated time: 45–75 minutes at a relaxed group pace
• Trail features: Ridgeline views, limestone bluffs, and a peaceful break at the Beaver Lake hollow.

The route begins with an easy ridgeline walk, then descends into Shaddox Hollow where the trail becomes steeper in places before climbing back to the trailhead.

Difficulty & Experience Level: This hike is considered easy to moderate overall, with a few short, steeper sections. Most active adults and older kids can complete it comfortably. No hiking experience is necessary—we will maintain a supportive group pace and make brief stops as needed.

What to Expect
• Guided group hike by moonlight
• Uneven natural terrain with some rocky sections
• Peaceful nighttime forest experience
• Small group size for safety and enjoyment

• Flashlight or headlamp (recommended)

For safety, this event will be postponed in the event of bad weather (heavy rain, storms, or hazardous trail conditions). Registered participants will be notified of any changes.

Important Notes
• Participation is limited to 15 people — advance sign-up required.
• Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and be ready to start promptly at 8:00 PM.
