- **Event Description**: In 2026 staat Blowbeat opnieuw op het podium. De legendarische Nederlandse rockband, bekend om zijn energie, groove en virtuositeit, keert terug voor een nieuwe reeks optredens.

Blowbeat ontstond begin jaren tachtig en bouwde vooral in Duitsland een sterke live-reputatie op. De band werd geroemd om zijn hoge speelvaardigheid en ijzersterke songs, een kwalificatie die jarenlang niet voor niets in de OOR-encyclopedie stond.

Sinds de jaren 2000 is Blowbeat actief in een flexibele bezetting. Naast Ton Engels zijn de bandleden – Leendert Haaksma, Arthur Lijten en Eric Coenen – veelgevraagde sessie- en live-muzikanten en spelen bij grote nationale en internationale artiesten, waaronder Anouk, Anastacia, Manfred Mann en Ellen ten Damme. Daardoor is Blowbeat geen fulltime band meer, maar wanneer de agenda’s het toelaten, komt alles samen.

Na een succesvolle tour in 2025 besloot de band: dit smaakt naar meer. In 2026 wordt dat rondje langs de velden voortgezet.

Wat je kunt verwachten?
Energie, vaart, verrassing, gekte en vooral: groove.
Echte muzikanten, echte gitaren, bas en drums. Geen poespas, gewoon aftellen en gáán.

Blowbeat live is rock zoals rock bedoeld is: compromisloos, speels en altijd in beweging.

Support: Polly and The Jester
Polly and The Jester brengt melodische rock met een stevige dosis blues, verpakt in een moderne, energieke sound. Verwacht krachtige riffs, groovy ritmes, sterke vocals en een strakke liveshow. Met drie vrouwen en één man op het podium staat de band garant voor een intense rock-beleving.

Na de release van debuutsingle ‘Wildfire’ (september 2025) volgde ‘Underdog’ (januari 2026). Intussen stond Polly and The Jester al op podia als Tivoli, Trix en ECI Cultuurfabriek en werkt de band volop aan nieuw materiaal. De volgende release staat gepland voor september 2026.
