Have you ever wanted to try hoop dancing? This standalone, beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start! We will focus entirely on core foundations, learning how to keep the hoop up on your hips effortlessly and with grace. Once that feels solid, we will practice walking, turning, and moving freely with the hoop!

✨ Meet Your Instructor: Jenny Severo

I discovered hoop dance in the Bay Area back in 2008 and quickly became obsessed, practicing for hours daily. My passion led me to the pioneering HoopGirl community in San Francisco, where I trained weekly and ultimately became an official HoopGirl performer and certified instructor. Over the years, I’ve taught at beautiful vineyards and dance studios, and performed at iconic San Francisco hotspots like Ruby Skye.

Hoop dance completely transformed my life, opening doors to Ecstatic Dance and a deeper somatic awareness. My ultimate passion is sharing how this simple plastic circle can be an incredible tool for grounding, connecting your body to rhythm, and treating the music and the hoop as your ultimate dance partners.

Whether you are picking up a hoop for the very first time or looking to polish your basic skills, you are so welcome in this circle.

Space is Limited (Pre-Registration Required)

To ensure everyone has plenty of space to spin, dance, and move freely, this workshop is strictly limited to 13 students. Safe your spot in the circle ahead of time!

Please wear something comfortable to move around in (something you'd wear to a yoga class is perfect). Stay hydrated and bring water! Class Hoops are provided!
